First Farmer: Mr.NarongSopa
MC: How long have you been growing Double A Paper-Tree on Khana-na?
Mr.Sopa: 4 years
MC: How many trees do you have around your field?
Mr.Sopa: I have approximately 400 trees
MC: What is the main reason why you chose to grow Double A Paper-Tree?
Mr.Sopa:Double A Paper-Tree is easy to grow and does not require much investment and attention while yields on regular crops such as rice remains stable.
MC: How many years does it take to grow DoubleA Paper-Tree before it can be harvested and sold?
Mr.Sopa: 4 years
MC: Have you tried selling them?
Mr.Sopa: I have tried once a year ago. I was able to get around THB 80,000 – 90,000 from selling the matured trees back to Double A.
MC: Once you harvest the matured trees, do you need to grow new seedlings in replacement?
Mr.Sopa: There’s no need to plant new seedlings. Double A Paper-Tree can regenerate three times. We just have to wait for them to mature and harvest.
MC: Sounds interesting
Second Farmer: Mr.SomSurinit said:
“Growing Double A Paper-Tree is easier than other tree species. I change to planting Double A Paper-Tree to get extra income while waiting for the harvest season of rice. The income I’m getting from growing Double A Paper-Tree can support my child and gives me enough time to stay with my family.
Third Farmer:
“Growing Double A Paper-Tree provides many benefits. It provides us with shade from sunlight and it contributes in making a greener environment for the community on top of the additional income that we get.
